The explore3D camera system, regardless of the configuration, can generate calibrated stereo pair recordings.
This is extremely useful for generating highly accurate 3D models of scenes via a post-processing step which typically can take between a few hours to a few days depending on the footage.
Reconstructed from the SVC Pro recording shown below.
There are 2 primary ways the explore3D can generate such data:
SVC Pro (VSLAM)
dweOS + Discovery
The recommended and plug-and-play approach to generate these recordings is with the SVC Pro. With onboard processing capabilities, it ensures you cover all points of interest without needing to re-collect the data after post-processing.
DWE VSLAM running on the SVC Pro (2x speed)
A less common approach is to connect an explore3D to a system without compute functionality (like an SVC or BlueROV). See the dweOS synchronized streaming guide for more information. This does NOT get you coverage information like the SVC Pro.
