# License Overview

> Manage your Discovery software license.

To use Discovery, you need to link a valid license key to your machine.

Discovery supports both single-machine and multi-machine licenses. Because licenses are bound to specific hardware, you should know how to activate your software—and how to deactivate it before you reset your PC or move your license to a new computer.
